Introduction George, Eugene, and myself all wanted to go fire some guns on 11/11/11.
Since it was Veteran's Day ,
we wanted to see what soldiers did during this day. So we went to the Sunset Hill
Shooting Range and each of us shot around 2 or 3 guns. Since I am only 13
I couldn;t use a hand gun because of how much recoil it has.So I only got to shoot
2 rifles while George and Eugene fired 2 rifles and a pistol. At the end we were
all happy and now knew what the veterans felt while they were fighting in all the
wars to protect our country. You will see all the guns we shot that day and learn
new things about it.

The AK-47
The AK-47 is a selective-fire, gas-operated 7.62×39mm assault rifle, first developed
in the Soviet Union by Mikhail Kalashnikov. It is officially known as Avtomat
Kalashnikova. It is also known as a Kalashnikov, an "AK", or in Russian slang,
Kalash. The original AK-47 was one of the first true "assault rifles" to be
manufactured, after the original Sturmgewehr 44. Even after six decades the model
and its variants remain the most widely used and popular assault rifles in the
world because of their durability, low production cost, and ease of use. It has
been manufactured in many countries and has seen service with armed forces as well
as revolutionary and terrorist organizations worldwide. The AK-47 was the basis
for developing many other types of individual and crew-served firearms. More
AK-type rifles have been produced than all other assault rifles combined.

The Glock pistol
The Glock pistol (9mm), sometimes referred to by the manufacturer as Glock "Safe
Action" Pistol, is a series of semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by
Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. The company's founder,
engineer Gaston Glock, had no experience with firearm design or manufacture at
the time their first pistol, the Glock 17, was being prototyped. Glock did,
however, have extensive experience in advanced synthetic polymers, knowledge of
which was instrumental in the company's design of the first successful line of
pistols with a polymer frame. Glock introduced ferritic nitrocarburizing into
the firearms industry as an anti-corrosion surface treatment for metal gun parts.
Despite initial resistance from the market to accept a "plastic gun" due to
durability and reliability concerns, Glock pistols have become the company's most
profitable line of products, commanding 65% of the market share of handguns for
United States law enforcement agencies as well as supplying numerous national
armed forces and security agencies worldwide.
