Day 1 – April 21, Sunday
Today is the first day. We had to wake up very early in the morning to catch our flight. Vova had come to our house and drove us to the airport. Our flight was not a direct flight and we stopped in Atlanta, Georgia. The airport was very nice. We soon arrived in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was very hot and humid there. We were directed to a bus driver who was supposed to drive us to the hotel. Somehow, we missed our bus so another person had driven us. Finally, we arrived at our hotel. After checking in and receiving our room keys, my mom and I had gone to the 7th floor where our room was located. After unpacking and taking our bathing suits, we had gone to look around at or resort. There was a huge golf course where people were allowed to play. The ocean had spread as wide as the human eye could see. The best part was that there were two pools: one big main pool and a lazy river pool (a river-like pool where you are allowed to ride on a tube). My mom and I had swum in the lazy river pool and the ocean that day. Very quickly it became late. There was so much fun in Jamaica that one could go crazy. On Sunday nights, our resort brings in a little ‘store’ where people can bargain the many goods that are crafted by the Jamaicans. We had bought a wooden elephant for Anton, a giraffe for me and a wooden carving to hand on the wall in our hallway. After a long day in Jamaica, everyone had gone to sleep.
Day 2 – April 22, Monday
Early in the morning the crew of two woken up. We had gone to the tennis courts and played tennis under the hot, burning sun. After playing tennis we had gone to have breakfast at the buffet. I had eaten a lot the first day of our journey; I seemed to be very hungry. After eating breakfast, my mom and I had gone to the ocean. We had went kayaking for a very long time. Natasha insisted that we bought our masks and so we did. She snorkeled for some time until a big wave came and knocked us over. It was a fateful tragedy. That moment felt like the perfect storm had come. After finally swimming back to shore, everything was OK. We had a big lunch after becoming hungry from the long kayaking trip. After lunch, we had grabbed our swimming suits and headed out to the pool. We had ridden the tubes down the water slides and swam in the lazy river. In the evening there were many shows and musical events for the guests to watch. We had seen the welcome party for all the new guests and we had listen to some of the reggae music that Jamaica had. After some time, my head hurt so we went to sleep.
Day 3 – April 23, Tuesday
We had wakened up early in the morning again this day. I had a windsurfing lesson to attend with one of the Jamaican trainers. There was not enough wind so we just practiced on land. After having breakfast, my mom and I had gone on the Duns River Waterfall Tour. We had taken the one hour long bus trip with a group. At the site, we had to climb a waterfall that was as long as a river. There were many slippery rocks and deep waterbeds there. (Please watch our video) We had arrived back at the hotel at around 8 o’clock. After eating dinner at the Three Palms restaurant, we had gone to the music show and listen to some reggae again. We then went to sleep. .
Day 4 – April 24, Wednesday
Today is our big day. Today is the day that we finally can go and Jet Ski! My mom and I had been driven to the nearest Jet Ski rental and we had ridden them like the wind. We were faster than the speed of light. After eating lunch at the buffet, we had participated in many sport activates like soccer and volleyball. Both games were won by my team. In the evening we had eaten at the Italian restaurant inside our hotel. Since everything was all-inclusive we could eat as much as we wanted to! After filling our tummies with food, we had gone to sleep.
Day 5 – April 24, Thursday
Today is our last day. It was the last chance for us to say goodbye to the beautiful Jamaica that we had stayed in. We had loved it so much that we were not happy at all to leave. Packing our bags and checking out, my mom and I were not very satisfied that it was the last day. Arriving at the airport was a hard thing to do for us since we loved the vacation so much. Arriving at Newark Airport, where George was awaiting us, I had dressed in a funny Jamaica hat. This had scared George but also made him laugh.
Day 6 – December 28, Thursday
While embracing myself, I had tried to get the thoughts of scary sea monsters out of my head. Then, I jumped into the water. What was this? Nothing pulled my leg, and I was alive. I was satisfied. After I swam over to where my cousin was, I dove under water to find thousands of tropical fish swimming around. That was the greatest sight I had ever seen! The water was almost like a rainbow made up of fish. My fears of the dreaded water had ‘swam’ away with the fish that I had tried to catch (they were pretty fast).
Day 7 – December 29, Friday
The trip to Aruba had been very successful for my family and me. My cousin and I had the best time ever and we want to go there every winter. My grandparents had enjoyed watching their grandsons experience the wonders of Aruba. If you have never been to Aruba, you are missing out on the fun of the natural wonder on Earth. Traveling is one of the most funs and almost everybody loves to travel. If you have not gone to Aruba, go there and you will have to best time ever.
Day 8 – December 30, Saturday
